Bearden is a neighborhood in the city of Knoxville, Tennessee. Located in Knox County along the Kingston Pike highway, Bearden developed as an agrarian community in the 19th century and remained a largely rural community. Within a few years, more businesses began to spring up due mainly to Kingston Pike’s location along the two cross-country tourism routes – the Dixie Highway and the Lee Highway.

Rotary Club of Bearden – The Rotary Club of Bearden is an organization of business and community leaders who are commited to serve their community by following the ideals of Rotary. Chartered in 1959, the club is the third Rotary Club organized in Knox County.

Knox County Public Library – The Knox County Public Library is the oldest continuously operating public library in Tennessee. The library offers more than one million books, periodicals, compact discs, films, audiobooks and downloadables through 19 different locations across Knox County. The Bearden Branch Library is located on Golfclub Road.

Knox County Community Action – The Knox County Community Action is a public agency dedicated to serving the community of Knoxville and Knox County by helping low to moderate income families, the unemployed, persons with disabilities and other individuals with special need for services. The agency works with local, state, federal and private sector partners and individuals to help people achieve self-sufficiency and independent living.
