Old English Bedroom
Sometimes a simple change is the best way to liven a room. A washable coverlet drapes easily over the bed, adorned with fabrics such as large paisley, bright plaid, and soft blue velvet. The custom made window treatments with blue velvet scarves drape softly over the windows. A simple fix to bring a bedroom to life!
The client had recently moved into this home and wanted the bedroom to be a comfortable retreat for her and her husband at the end of the day. She originally was simply thinking window treatments to add to their existing blinds.
The windows were addressed, along with the bedding and lighting. Sometimes a simple change is the best way to liven a room. The bedding was selected to be simple and easy to make in the morning. A washable coverlet drapes the first layer of the bed. Adding three blue velvet flange euro shams (the center one in a plaid matching the custom bed scarf, also trimmed in blue velvet), two king shams in a large paisley print, and a blue velvet with tape decorative pillow created the foundation for the room. Custom window treatments in the large paisley print were crowned with the blue velvet scarves with tassel. Artwork added above the bed created a cozy feeling and coordinates with the bedding and window treatments. Two ceramic lamps with silver bases and linen shades adorn the night stands. A simple fix to bring a bedroom to life!
