Custom Window Treatments

At Decorating Den Interiors – Kozar Design Team, we offer a wide variety of decorative soft window treatments from draperies, side panels, roman shades and top treatments. We will come to your home or office and assist you in choosing from an extensive selection of drapery styles and an almost limitless collection of fabrics. The custom options coupled with the highest quality of fabrication make the perfect drapery for any window.

The possibilities are endless and we are here to help you every step of the way. Our design consultation is complimentary. Once we have selected the right treatment for you, we take all the measurements, place the orders and our talented fabricators will get to work to ensure that the designs are built to your specifications. We will then deliver and install the products to your satisfaction.

Drapery Panels – Classic and timeless. These are typically mounted high, to the crown molding and visually raises the height of your ceiling. Modern styles leave these simply adorned in both solids and patterns, whereas more traditional or bohemian spaces alike add in more trims and details. You might hear us say traversing panels or stationary panels. Traversing Panels are designed to completely cover the window when closed, so function and beauty. However this isn’t always needed in a room, so often we’ll utilize stationary panels that are more for aesthetics and acoustics, while also helping the budget a little. Either way, Drapery panels are stunning in a room by themselves or when paired with any of the options below or hard window fashions like blinds and shutters.

Valances – A soft top treatment that is above the window trim. Most of the time these are board mounted at the top instead of rod mounted, but both are valances. A perfect solution alone or with side drapery panels. This is often the perfect solution in kitchen and bathrooms, or any space where blackout is a priority. There are hundreds of ways to fabricate these from balloon valances, gathered, pleated, or clean box pleats.

Cornices – Similar to valances, but the fabric is upholstered around a wood base on 4 sides. This keeps the pattern firm and in place. There are many fun details these can have due to their thicker nature – nail heads, tufted, faux iron, or many more!

Roman Shades – Whether flat, hobbled, or caned. These are a beautiful way to incorporate function and beauty to your window. These can now be cordless so with a simple lift you can go from maximum view to complete privacy. A fun detail we like to add to these are trim details along the base with a tassel or simply a scalloped hem.

Faux Iron – One of our favorite ways to add a touch of architectural emphasis is by incorporating a faux iron treatment into the design of your windows or niches. This is a composite wood material that is laser cut into any design that we have or can make to give the look of iron (or wood or even metal) into a room design. This design is then hand painted to achieve the color and finished appearance of iron. Screens can be added for additional light protection, and these designs can be beautiful both inside and out. The end result is always stunning and makes a statement.
