Farmhouse Office
Two functional workspaces were created by using a writing desk and a credenza with hutch. A focal wall with wallpaper creates some pattern and texture alongside a fresh paint color. A custom-made braided rug with two deep-tufted linen-look chairs add softness. A floating shelf flanked by wire-caged magazine racks frame the focal wall.
This design was collaborated with the client digitally as they had not yet moved to Tennessee. I was able to send designs via email with a long-distance design & presentation. The space also needed to be able to host two working from home, so dual functionality was needed.
The two workspaces were created by using a writing desk with a pull-down keyboard drawer for storing a laptop. The light hutch and credenza with pull-out keyboard drawer and printer drawer create a secondary work space for occasional use. File and additional storage are available in the hutch and credenza. A focal wall with scrolling damask medallion wallpaper creates some pattern and texture along with a new paint color for the other walls that gives a light, clean palete to the room. A custom-made braided rug anchors the space plan in a fun plaid motif lending itself to the farmhouse feel of the space.
