Farmhouse Living Room
The casual and comfortable sofa and loveseat with traditional round sock arms are anchored by a custom-made braided rug to create this farmhouse style family room. A rustic media console and cocktail table provide ample storage.
This design needed to be completely digitally, since upon the start of the project, the client hadn’t moved to Tennessee yet. The room was oddly shaped and had only one full wall. The television was already planned and wired for above the fireplace, but they had no storage for their components and media. Seating and furniture needed to be durable and comfrotable for their family of four. Additional storage was a must for toys, games, and additional media.
A functional space plan was created and easy access walk-through to upstairs was managed. A durable and comfortable sofa and matching loveseat with transitional round socks arms are anchored by a custom-made braided rug. Coordinating black and taupe large plaid pillows provide contrast to the light fabrics and finishes. A rustic cocktail table with a lift-top and large storage areas was used as a service for the seating area. A farmhouse style media console to store components was placed close to the one full wall where wiring for the television over the fireplace was connected. A pedestal style, ebony oversized round table anchors both the sofa and loveseat and accommodates a distressed table lamp and a vase of casually arranged branches. Two pieces of vintage style floral artwork give height and pattern to the media console. A bit of galvanized metal and mirrored bottom tray with rope handles creates a bit of whimsy atop the cocktail table.
