Project Overview:

This client had purchased this literal farmhouse, complete with the acreage and the horses, right before covid. He is a builder by trade, and the house was in desperate need of renovations. They had worked on the house before meeting with us, and sculpted it to their needs with new details and brought the whole house up to date inside and out. However, now that they were at the final stage, they were having trouble bringing it all together. Their previous home was red and gold, but now she wanted to go cool, and grey. They had purchased furniture for the new space, but it just wasn’t working. Their pieces were either too small or too large, and she was frustrated going from furniture store to furniture store to try and bring it all together. She wanted a home that felt cohesive from one room to the next, that felt luxurious with hints of farmhouse.

This spacious farmhouse bathroom with a walk-in shower is now cozy, with charcoal, white, and steel blue accents brought together with new window treatments, rugs, and accessories. The beautiful freestanding tub is anchored with a tripleat window treatment in a slate blue and adorned with a luxurious embroidered 3″ trim along the bottom. The colors are repeated in the watercolor feather art work that leads the eyes to the vanity. Hand made bath accessories are on both bathroom vanities as well as decorative driftwood accents and crystal. The floors are warmed with hand knotted rugs in a neutral to balance the painted decorative tiles in the shower. Lastly, a castered textured velvet in steel blue is used on the upholstered tufted round ottoman by vanity providing comfort and style. All of the finishes tie in beautifully with the bedding in the primary suite for a cohesive flow throughout.
