Project Overview:

This large scaled primary suite was empty, and due to it’s scale had an echo. The home owners like things clean and simple, but the room begged for embellishment. Plus the beautiful lake view needed framing. Another detail we wanted to bring out was the beautiful trimwork throughout the house.

This bedroom primary suite features a stormy blue, charcoal, dijon mustard, and soft creamy linen to create a rich and indulgent master suite. The high ceilings and detailed trimwork are enhanced by long, flowing boxpleated draperies framing each window. The size of the room allowed us to use large scaled bachelor’s chests instead of nightstands at 44″ wide each. For the bench window seat, we used a performance fabric to resist the sun as well as the wear and tear of everyday life. This picture window frames the lake and is dressed with a tri-pleat valance featuring the pillow sham fabric from the bedding collection. A matching valance is above the door to the travertine patio and hot tub. The large 12’x 15′ rug fills the room with a soft viscose blend of creams and charcoal in aged traditional motif. The fabrics are all about texture with a combination of mohair, diamond shaped tassels and nubby linen weaves. All of the textures help absorb the sound, so this room is now a serene retreat for the homeowners.
