Project Overview:

This client had purchased this literal farmhouse, complete with the acreage and the horses, right before covid. He is a builder by trade, and the house was in desperate need of renovations. They had worked on the house before meeting with us, and sculpted it to their needs with new details and brought the whole house up to date inside and out. However, now that they were at the final stage, they were having trouble bringing it all together. Their previous home was red and gold, but now she wanted to go cool, and grey. They had purchased furniture for the new space, but it just wasn’t working. Their pieces were either too small or too large, and she was frustrated going from furniture store to furniture store to try and bring it all together. She wanted a home that felt cohesive from one room to the next, that felt luxurious with hints of farmhouse.

This glamorous farmhouse dining room is enhanced by the new glass beaded window treatments, grass cloth wallpaper, stunning artwork, and decorative accents. The color palette of steel blue and ivory is continued in the rug as well the quatrefoil motif in the window treatments and the rich blue in the grass cloth. This wallpaper frames the dining room from the foyer and the rest of the house, and elevates its formality level from the other spaces. The hand painted art on top of the console in the dining room gives a focal point as guests enter the home, in a bold gold and grey landscape. The art work is framed by the ivory gourd lamps and enhanced by the gold accessories on the piece. In homage to the horses also on the farm, we selected hand drawn horse portraits for the wall above the wall anchored stable table that fills the adjacent wall.
