Parisian Girl’s Room

Despite the size, we knew that with multifunction pieces we could help provide this little girl with a room all of her friends would be jealous of. When we asked her what her style and favorite colors were she happily shared that she wanted a room with Parisian flair and of course it had to be pink! Her mother’s requirements were that the furniture pieces would be adaptable to future styles and had the option to grow with her daughter. The mother’s personal tastes leaned to white and grays. With our direction provided, we set to work finding a multipurpose full sized bunk bed with drawer storage, a desk, bookcase, and mirror below. We tackled the need for clothing storage with a glamorous and bedazzled dresser that had a mirror as well, but also provided jewelry storage and adjustable shelves. The statement of the room are the custom window treatments that feature a soft butterfly and floral motif that features both of their favorite colors. We also designed a storage ottoman on casters that can be rolled from the desk under the bunk bed by the window or in a hidden nook behind the bed as a quiet reading area. For our Parisian touches, we selected Eiffel Tower wall decals that were easily applied to the wall in a few key areas around the room, that later can be easily removed as well. The wall color, SW 6022 Breathless, provides a soft elegant pink that is pulled directly from the window treatments, as well as the abstract gold and pink artwork above the dresser. When she first saw her new room complete, she immediately said she loved it and started playing at her desk with her new lamp. Our youngest decision maker ever made some great decisions that we hope she will enjoy for years to come.
