It’s officially fall! (even though it may not feel like it yet, haha). Get your home nice and cozy just in time for the fallen leaves, crisp temperatures and pumpkin picking. Here are a few fall design trends to get excited about:
1. Chic plaid
Chunky plaid is making a comeback, adding chic flair to any room as a statement fabric. From the window treatments to a set of throw pillows or fabric napkins in the kitchen, plaid is versatile and trendy, blending in with traditional, contemporary, and modern design styles.
2. Textiles and earthy elements
Textiles such as rice paper, grass cloth, linen, live edge wood furniture, and clay are ‘grounding’ elements in our homes, and help us to connect with the earth and it’s natural beauty. One of my favorite ways to accomplish this is by introducing grass cloth into a space. It instantly adds texture, warmth and richness to a room. Incorporate more natural edge furniture from the living room to your home office to showcase how Mother Nature can work her magic indoors too.
3. Matte finishes
A mixture of textures throughout the home is an important element to interior design. One you need to pay close attention to this fall is matte. Dark, smooth finishes in kitchen and bathroom appliances and hardware adds a touch of sophistication to any living space with minimal effort.
